Shows from the Songs of Ireland

Green Curtain Theatre has put together a great collection of stories and Irish songs to make a fantastic show. Their stories are about people who left their native Ireland over the past 60 years to make their home in the UK. They had all sorts of reasons for leaving, so the stories are a mix of sad, funny and touching accounts. These will be mixed in with your favourite Irish songs including Danny Boy, Cockles and Mussels and the Parting Glass. You can sing a long if you like. Why not come along? You are sure to have a great time!

Hedgehogs Don't Live in the City!

Grace and Archie live in the hustling, bustling city of London. They love scootering through the parks on their way to school, racing through piles of leaves. But one day, Grace is sure she sees something unusual. Something small. Something spiky. Something with a little pig-like snout... She's certain she's seen a hedgehog! But Archie tells Grace that hedgehogs don't live in the city! Join Cat & Hutch for an interactive storytelling show of Lucy Reynolds' book, "Hedgehogs Don't Live in the City", and go on an educational adventure where you'll learn all about our little spiky friends that we find in our city and how to care for them.

A Radio Play in a Day

Our great workshop will suit those who would like to try their hand at acting without having to worry about remembering words! We will begin the day with some fun improvisation exercises before moving onto to working on scripts. A session on creating sound effects will end our morning session. The afternoon will be devoted to preparing and performing the main script: “Visitors”. It should be great fun.
