Peter Lynch Exhibition

Peter will be donating a large selection of his artwork to Amnesty to support its much needed Human Rights work. The Exhibition will have at least 100 pieces, which will include original oils, original acrylics and original watercolours plus framed and unframed but mounted prints of many of the paintings. There will be a selection of Landscapes, Still Life, Portraits and People, plus some art for children. Peter's objective when painting is to use colours and images which are uplifting to the spirit and hopefully have a healing and calming effect on our moods.

Amélie Mourgue d’Algue - Home?

For the past two years, we have developed conversations about what it means to feel at home, conversations that took place around familiar objects and images. We have revisited the genre of the still life, referring back to the xenia, paintings and mosaics decorating the walls and floors of the room in which wealthy ancient Greeks welcomed their guests for a first meal. The time frame of this collaborative work allowed for a meshwork of relations to form between very diverse people gathering together to learn a common language. The English art historical term for a group portrait is conversation piece. Conversation piece is the title of a short film produced with the project participants .
